You can delete your Shielded account and all associated data at any time.

Open Shielded
Settings (Einstellungen) → Delete account (Konto löschen)
Confirm

2. Without the app (by email)

Write to shielded.eu@gmail.com with the subject “Delete account”. Please state the email address you signed in with. We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm the deletion to you.

If you used the app without signing in, please delete the account directly in the app, because without a sign-in we cannot link it to any person. If the app has already been uninstalled, we delete such accounts automatically after 3 months without use.

3. What is deleted

your account and your profile (name, phone number, email address)
all checked messages and results
connections to family members, warnings, calls for help and invitation codes
the push tokens of your devices

4. What remains

Sender numbers of suspicious messages, stored only as a pseudonymised hash with no link to your account. They protect all users from known fraud numbers. They are deleted 24 months after the number was last reported.
